Sport has always played an important role in my life. I come from an equestrian background and from an early age I was competing in dressage, showjumping and eventing. Marriage and small children meant I was unable to continue riding.

I stayed fit through running and attending regular gyms, but lacked the same passion and enthusiasm. I first heard about CrossFit through my husband Paul. Paul was a CM2 member for 2 years before he persuaded me to give it a go. Initially, I was a little intimidated by CrossFit, especially lifting a barbell. I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I soon realised CrossFit is accessible to all; no matter what your level or ability. Before long I was hooked!

I love that there are so many new skills to learn, always room for improvement and that the mental push is as hard as the physical. What I didn’t expect and to my pleasure was the community at CM2; training with like-minded people who have become lifelong friends. I feel very privileged indeed to be part of the coaching team at CM2 and look forward to continuing to grow as a coach and CM2 member.
